Folks, I'm rather confused! In SQL 2000 when we designed a DTS Package we could save it to SQL Server (MSDB Database) and schedule a job to execute the DTS Package.
I wish to emulate the same with an SSIS Package on SQL 2005 but for the life of me I cannot understand why I can't choose the SSIS Package that I have developed when I choose from the File Menu Save a copy of package and I choose SQL Server. Thats ok but when i click on the radio button to specify the SSIS Package to save to SQL Server, all I see is a folder called 'Maintenance' What the?????? Some one please enlighten me on how to save an SSIS package to SQL Server (MSDB Database) so that I can create a SQL Job to execute the SSIS package?
Create a package in SQL Server Data Tools using the Package Template. Optionally, add control flow, data flow tasks, and event handlers to the package. For more information, see Control Flow, Data Flow, and Integration Services (SSIS) Event Handlers. On the File menu, click Save Selected Items to save the new package.
